Html was the first thing I ever did that made me feel like I was actually making things myself with a computer, controlling it and
bending it to my will. It made me feel like a hacker. That makes me laugh today, especially thinking back at the pages I made. But still, if it wasn't for html I'm not so sure I would have started studying computer science.

My very first homepage was really different from the rest of the internet, I thought, because it had a picture of a pool as background, very soothing. But that wasn't all. I managed to fixate the background and having the text scrolling over the pool. Very hi-tech.
But when moving gifs started to feel old, and they did very fast, I made my second attempt. This was my blue period, I actually called it - Linnéas blue homepage. The layout consisted of a small square with all the text and pictures right in the middle of the page on a blue background. It would have been easy to make with css - or even tables. But i made it entirely with
frames. I had five or more different pages each inside a frame that was inside another frame and so on. I remember being pretty confused a lot of the time when making that page. But it also made me feel smart to have thought up all that, again, I felt like a hacker. That was until I started to look at other peoples html and realized how I
could have been doing it.
